Analog Documentary Photography

Taught over two week in August 2022, this intensive course introduced participants to the basics of analog photography and approached photography as a platform and medium to explore dramaturgy and montage, time and light, volume and architecture and many other aspects of interdisciplinary art.

Daily sessions consisted of lectures and laboratory sessions, followed by joint or individual practices in various natural and urban locations in around the town of Tumanyan. Participants were also invited to reflect upon their unfolding experience in writing. The course culminated in a group exhibition hosted by Abastan Community that included both photos and writing of the participants.
