A reimagination of Siāwčamāna
2023
This piece is a reimagination of Siāwčamāna. Siāwčamāna is a well-known traditional Kurdish song from the villages of Uramanat, an ancient cultural region in the Zagros Mountains. The song belongs to the rich musical tradition of the Hawrami people, and it is thought to have evolved from a song performed in religious ceremonies in Zoroastrian times or possibly earlier.

In-tonation(Āhang)
2022
This piece is an interpretation of several poems from the book Dîvân-i Shams by Jalāl ad-Dīn Mohammad Balkhī known as Rumi. The structure is following the rhythms of the poems and interpreting modes of recitation. Just as a reciter of a poem can create and accentuate meaning with meaning-making faculties of human speech, so a player can accomplish the same with his or her unique intonation.
